The top is made from polypropylene, a naturally hydrophobic fibre that repels water rather than absorbing it. A wet layer can turn heavy and cold, whereas this fabric sheds water and stays light, helping it dry faster. Because the repellency is part of the fibre, it does not wash out the way an applied coating can. A PFAS-free Durable Water Repellency treatment adds further protection on the surface.
A soft brushed fleece backing adds warmth and a comfortable feel against the skin, and 4-way stretch allows movement in every direction. A rolled neckline sits smooth against the skin for chafe-free comfort, and flatlock stitching sewn with water-resistant thread keeps seams flat and reduces water retention and ingress.
The top can be worn on its own as a baselayer or layered under outerwear, and suits sailing, paddle, rowing, and watersports in cooler conditions.

La maglia in pile idrofobico Zhik offre più calore rispetto a un baselayer sottile e maggiore libertà di movimento rispetto a una maglia da muta, ed è pensata per le condizioni climatiche più fresche in cui sia il calore che la mobilità sono fondamentali.
La maglia è realizzata in polipropilene, una fibra naturalmente idrofobica che respinge l’acqua anziché assorbirla. Uno strato bagnato può diventare pesante e freddo, mentre questo tessuto respinge l’acqua e rimane leggero, asciugandosi più rapidamente. Poiché la proprietà idrorepellente è intrinseca alla fibra, non si perde con i lavaggi come invece può accadere con un rivestimento applicato. Un trattamento idrorepellente durevole (DWR) privo di PFAS aggiunge ulteriore protezione alla superficie.
Un morbido rivestimento in pile spazzolato aggiunge calore e una sensazione confortevole a contatto con la pelle, mentre l’elasticità a 4 vie consente il movimento in ogni direzione.
